Dan’s qualifications in philosophy, comp-sci, thesis in technology policy and masters subjects in psychometric education measurement and learning analytics are linked to his 12 years spent leading Australian’s pioneering edtech Myinternet, 6 years leading interoperability, founding the National Schools interoperability program, leading the New York RicOne Education data project and founding the k-12 Federation for the Gates Foundation. Dan is currently an independent advisor to Google on Gen AI in education, a founding advisor for the international Edsafe AI Alliance, authored the paper on AI principles for Government agency ESA, developed the Wollongong position paper and its Model for implementation of Gen AI in Schools, is assisting systems with Gen AI issues for over 100 schools and has created Australia's leading k-12 AI in Education testing harness with over 200 educational practices.
